This was the bike that was supposed to save Bimota (again). Obviously, it didn’t, but here we’ve got a still new example of their swan song.
The BB3 is powered by the BMW S1000RR motor (with electronics and the dash from the German bike, as well). The plan was to compete in WSBK, but they weren’t able to meet the initial quote of 125 bikes before the 2014 season started – depending on who you ask, Bimota was either ready to compete or just using the entry as a marketing tool while they tried to bring the bike back to life. Doesn’t matter now – for more on the BB3, check out this First Ride review from Motorcyclist. In that piece, Alan Cathcart says “after riding it on road, I’m convinced: The new BB3 is the best Bimota yet built, bar none, in the company’s 40 years of existence.”
Not much to say about this example as it’s new with 1 mile on the odometer, so find this Bimota BB3 for sale in Raleigh, North Carolina for $55,000 here at Garcia Moto.
