I’m working on my review of the 2018 Honda Gold Wing, which is why I had to feature this crazy custom from the first year of Wing production. Named “Buford”, this interesting Gold Wing custom has nearly covered 500,000 miles…and it’s covered by 10 square feet of Icelandic goat fur. Now that’s a sentence I never thought I’d type out before!
Other interesting features include horns, a World War I standard issue Calvary saddle, LED lighting, and multiple show awards. According to a plaque underneath the front headlight, Buford place first at the 1981 GWRRA Wing Ding meet, 1989 California state meet, and the 2013 Republic of Texas rally in the Metric Dresser class. Buford is on his 4th motor, and this one has less than 25,000 miles on it. The bike has been to all 48 of the states in the Continental US.
Find Buford for sale here on Craigslist in Austin, Texas for $9,999.
