Over on the auction site we’ve got an incredibly well-preserved example of a RGV250 that was the subject of a Rider magazine Retrospective by Clement Salvadori – and it’s got a California plate!
I feel fortunate to get lots of submissions for bikes over at Iconic, though as you can imagine the quality of submission varies greatly. This one was easily one of the best as the bike is special and the seller is detail-oriented. I wish every seller was like this gentleman, and you’ll see why if you click through to see the listing below.
This example (VIN: JS1VJ22A9R2100002) was originally sold in Australia (so it comes with the bigger 34mm carbs and makes more power) and it was imported to the US in 1994. The current owner purchased it in 1997 after seeing the bike on Cannery Row in Monterey during some races (presumably MotoGP) at Laguna Seca. It’s got 11,203 miles and a whole bunch of spare parts.
