View PostTreat Yourself – Motorcycle Classics 2005-2015
Motorcycle Classics is one of my favorite websites on the vast interwebs, thanks to their desire to preserve classic motorcycling and their classic bike database. You’ve probably seen me link to their site plenty of times for supplemental information on featured bikes. I was pleased to discover recently that they’ve accumulated all of their content in the first 10 years …
World Record Attempt – Wheelies and Stoppies on Ice!
Live near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin? Before you get all cozy for the Super Bowl this Sunday, you may want to head over to Norm’s Hideaway, where some crazy people are going to try to set some Guinness World Records on the adjoining lake – fastest and longest stoppie on ice, and fastest wheelie on ice.
January 2016 Result Highlights
One of the requests I got from the Reader Survey was to update y’all with the results of featured bike listings. I thought that was a good idea – hopefully you’ve seen in the past that I sometimes update a post with the final sale price, if I’m able to find it. But that requires you to go back in …
Custom Build – The CONVERGO
A couple of months ago, I met Danish Zaheer Rizvi, who got a degree in Transportation Design. He’s an avid motorcyclist who came up with a concept for an “adjustable” motorcycle. You’ve seen adjustable handlebars, adjustable footpegs, and maybe some other components, but nothing like this! With a design, one bike can feel like multiple.

Bonhams follows up their impressive Vegas offerings with an auction in Paris on February 4th. Come check out what’s on the block – it’s chock full of little Italian jewels…and one of the coolest custom Honda’s I’ve ever seen!
Bikers Helping Bikers – Majeda and Abd-Alhakeem in Jordan
Last month I found a motorcyclist who needed a little bit of help through Kiva and a lot of you were excited to help out. I thought your support was fantastic, and am looking forward to making this a regular feature where we can help out fellow riders, particularly those who rely on bikes to bring in income. So read …

1983 BMW R80GS with PD Tank
For many GS riders, this is Genesis. While there were four years of the R80G/S before the Paris-Dakar variant officially came out, and off-road race bikes far before the debut of the G/S (ISDT factory bikes such as these), this was the bike that put the GS on the map.
Next Month – The One Motorcycle Show
If you’re up near Portland, you’re going to need to check out The One Motorcycle Show in February.
Guess That Bike – Vintage German Ad Edition
A dear friend of mine just opened up his second restaurant – shameless plug for Brat & Brau in Hermosa Beach, California! He’s got pages from vintage German magazines all over the place, and I couldn’t help but notice this ad with a motorcycle in it. So, what’s the bike?
Bike-urious 2016 Survey Results
Wow. Thanks so much to everyone who participated – about 50% of readers who saw the post donated their time to fill out the survey, and I can’t say how much I appreciated it. Now, let’s get our learn on!
Meet Justin Wright!
Alright, here’s the last (but not least) addition to the Bike-urious contributor stable, at least for now. Read on to learn more about Justin Wright, who has enjoyed an eclectic history of motorcycles:
The Shining – Something New In Headlight Design
We all know the story. You are riding home well after dark because you diddled around way too long after lunch and now wish you were home. You lean into a bit of a turn in the road and your headlight doesn’t track where you are going. Depending on the corner, you might have trouble even seeing the centerline at …
