A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I had recently bought a Brutale 1000 RR out of MV Agusta’s press fleet. Well…I have the opportunity to buy something quirky that’s coming from Australia and I need some space and some money, so the Brutale needs a new home.

If you’ve been following Iconic, you know that we’re huge fans of Scott Russell – and we thought we’d mix things up by offering a signed helmet from his 1996 MotoGP season with Suzuki at no reserve to complement our listing for his 1993 WSBK Championship bike.

Over at Iconic: Adidas and Kawasaki recently partnered up to release a Ninja-themed set of sneakers that they call the ZX8000. Knowing how much my partner Adam loves Ninjas, I had to get him a pair…and then I bought myself a pair just to put on display in my office.

On Thursday evening, the Petersen’s newest exhibit debuts…and it’s all about electric motorcycles! I’ll be there for the opening party – will you?

I was feeling pretty good about my discount Mastiff purchase, but I was getting antsy to take it for a decent spin. Iconic’s usual ‘Sunday Ride’ out to the Rock Store seemed like the perfect excuse!

It was a last minute decision, but I’m heading out to Vegas first thing tomorrow morning to catch the Mecum auction, see a few friends, and have a special dinner meeting with my favorite motorcycle museum in the US – but more on that later, hopefully.

A few of you picked up on this in the post about selling my Honda RC30, but I replaced it with a BMW a few months ago. Specifically, it’s a BMW HP2 Megamoto!

For years, EICMA’s had a contest for the most beautiful bike at the show, and for those same years Italian locals have ruined it by only voting for whatever Ducati or MV Agusta have made. So it should be no surprise that this year, this award went to the MV Agusta Superveloce Ago. My sass aside, the only good news …
