Congratulations to Facebook reader Bill Beebe, who correctly guessed this bike within 20 minutes of the post. Second prize to John Markley Frank who was first on the site itself. The engine is obviously from an Ariel Square Four, but this motorcycle is actually a Healey 1000/4.

Points to commenter JR, who was the first to correctly guess the bike that caused this trouble – a Ducati Multistrada. Specifically, it looks to be a first generation Multistrada Dark, which would make it one of the 620cc versions.

This weekend was the Red Hook Criterium race in Brooklyn. Right after the race started, the pace motorcycle stalled and the rider wasn’t able to get the bike started before the peloton caught up to him. It did not go well.
