Victory Motorcycles earned a couple of podium places at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with their electric Empulse RR and the petrol-powered Project 156 – placing 2nd and 3rd overall respectively. These videos (and understandably) are unfortunately not from the race day, but they’re still very cool (assuming you have a computer and internet connection that don’t suck).
Video Intermission – A Tale of Two Kawasaki Ninja H2Rs
Kawasaki’s Ninja H2R is no less absurd today then when it was released to the world two years ago. It’s the most powerful production motorcycle ever sold (a claimed 326 horsepower if you’re getting lots of flow through the ram air intake) thanks to the supercharged 998cc engine, but you’ll only see it on racetracks or closed public roads. Here …

If you’re the kind of motorcyclist that can’t get enough racing action, then you need to tune in to Red Bull TV this weekend for Round 2 of the Red Bull Rookies Cup.
Video Intermission – Ladies: Why Your Man Needs to Ride a Motorbike
Ever been the recipient of grief from your wife/girlfriend/significant other/mistress for spending too much money on bikes? Just show them this video and everything will be alright. Well, that or your relationship will end rather quickly:

View PostVideo Intermission – Maicomobil sells at Mecum Chicago
If you saw my preview of the Mecum auction going on right now in Chicago, you may remember that one of my favorite vehicles up for bidding was the 1952 Maicomobil restored by Blue Moon Cycles. Contributor Joe N was at the event and captured the bidding – can you guess what it went for?
Picture Intermission – Mecum Chicago
Reader Dean J was at the Mecum Chicago auction yesterday and he was kind enough to share some photos for those of you that weren’t able to make it out. Here’s a few of my favorites:
Video Intermission – The Motorcycles of “Jay Leno’s Garage”
As if I haven’t spent enough time watching the motorcycle videos from Jay Leno’s Garage, now they’ve consolidated all their ‘2 wheels good’ videos into one playlist. I don’t think I’ll be getting any work done today…

View PostVirtual Intermission – Tour the Ducati Museum Online
You guys and gals had a bunch of great suggestions for what I should do with my limited time in Italy. One option that came up a few times was a tour of the Ducati Museum. Unfortunately, the museum is currently closed for renovation in preparation of Ducati’s 90th Anniversary celebrations next month. But did you know that you can …
Picture Intermission – Glen Helen AMA MX National
Last weekend, Glen Helen Raceway hosted an AMA Motocross National event. I’ve featured the work of photographer Joe Bonnello plenty of times before – most recently a Ducati 350 roadracer he photographed that was recently up for sale. Joe’s a legend when it comes to MX photography, and he took some great shos from the weekend – check out a …
Video Intermission – Indian Motorcycles: Passion For Speed
Last fall, a group of engineers from Indian Motorcycles decided they would tackle the land speed races at El Mirage with a Scout and a Dark Horse. Indian decided to tag along and create a series of short videos chronicling the process. They call it “Passion For Speed.” I call it a decent excuse to avoid working.
Video Intermission – Dan Dutra’s Ariel Cyclone at the 2016 Quail
The Cyclone was one of Ariel’s most famous motorcycles, partially due to the fact that Buddy Holly owned one – it sold for $450,000 two years ago and it’s now on display at the Buddy Holly Center. Bike-urious reader Dan Dutra is the proud owner of one of the rare Cyclones and he brought his out to the Quail Motorcycle …
