Here’s some highlights from a quick ride to the Rock Store today!

Why am I on top of a shipping container in that lead image? Because we got 30 bikes in from Japan! Even better, about half of them are awesome little-displacement motorcycles that were never sold in the US: Motocompos, a NSR50, KSR80, TDR50…you get the idea!

You all probably know by now that my single favorite piece of protective gear is my Aerostich R-3 Roadcrafter suit, so I’m excited to share this video that Aerostich has released which shows off how they build them.

It’s rare that a pro-motorcycling story makes it to a news source as big as CNN, which is why I was excited when a buddy sent me a link to CNN about Bridget McCutchen, a 22 year-old from Wisconsin who is attempting to become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world on a motorcycle. What a badass.

A few weeks ago, Iconic Motorbikes hosted our annual 2-day track event at Laguna Seca. My favorite part of is the people, but a close second is the motorcycle exotica that shows up. Here’s some personal highlights for those of you that couldn’t make it.

I’ve featured a couple of creations from Brook Henry’s famed Australian Ducati tuning house, Vee Two – the Squalo and the Alchemy SV-1. Here’s a nice behind-the-scenes look at Brook’s shop from ABC Australia, showing off his series of Mike Hailwood Replicas.

It’s not difficult to find cool bikes at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering, but it can sometimes be tough to find owners of said bikes who are willing to chat about them on camera. But I was able to get a few wonderful folks to talk about their prized possessions, and I thought you’d enjoy hearing from them!

I just published my written review of the new Yamaha XSR900, but I’ve also got an option for those of you that prefer the moving pictures!
