Post Listing Update: This Astro did not meet reserve despite 3 bids up to $2,800 on eBay in Corona, California. UPDATE: I made the mistake of taking the seller at face value on this one when he or she called it a Lobito. This is actually an Astro (who would have thought, considering it says “Astro” on the side). The …
1975 Bultaco Frontera 360
Post Sale Update: This Frontera sold for $2,700 after 8 bids on eBay in Boise, Idaho. When Bultaco wanted to introduce the Frontera to American customers, they said it was “bred from the Pursang and the demands of the American Enduro experts.” The idea was that you’d get the off-road capabilities of the MX Pursang, but with a wide-ratio transmission …
1970 OSSA Stiletto 250
Post Listing Update: This Stiletto did not meet reserve despite 4 bids up to $5,500 on eBay in Carlsbad, California. Nowadays, the word “stiletto” typically refers to heels. But a stiletto is actually a thin dagger, and that’s why it shares a name with this slender OSSA MXer.

Rare Project – 1978 Bultaco Streaker
Post Listing Update: The BIN was lowered to $6,000, but that still wasn’t enough to attract any action on this Bultaco Streaker. The Bultaco Streaker was a beautiful little cafe racer that was only produced for 3 years. Rumors suggest that just 28 were imported into the US before the EPA changed emissions regulations in 1979, effectively rendering this bike …

Model 18 – 1968 Bultaco El Bandido
One of the rarer Bultacos ever made, the El Bandido 360 was an open class racer that could be ordered with either a 19″ or 21″ front wheel depending on your desire to compete in MX events or Scrambles. Either way, you’d get a beautiful bike with one of my favorite logos in motorcycling.
125cc Kit – 1982 Montesa Crono 75
Built between 1978 and 1984, the Crono was Montesa’s last road bike. It was offered in 75cc, 125cc, and 350cc displacements. The Crono was created in response to Bultaco’s introduction of the Streaker, and it even led to the creation of a racing series called La Copa Crono (Crono Cup).
Cycle World Cover Bike – ESMC’s “Desert Wolf” Harley Roadster
The Desert Wolf was one of three identical bikes constructed for an ambitious 2017 project which was the brainchild of El Solitario’s head honcho, David Borras. While you can read all about Borras’ and the El Sol crew’s Saharan adventure on said bikes in a full-length Cycleworld writeup — the issue’s feature/cover story — in a nutshell the idea was …

Before Andrews turned 18, he was offered a seat on a factory racer for AJS, where he spent the next half-decade. In ‘66 the Elton, Derbyshire-born rider accepted an offer to ride …

Restored – 1970 Bultaco El Bandido Mk2
Post Sale Update: This Bultaco sold for $9,000 after 13 bids on eBay…to Bike-urious reader David N! It was called the El Bandido (obviously, The Bandit), and it was available in scrambles and MX variants. The Mark 2 …
