Post Sale Update: After 27 bids on eBay, this Walt Siegl custom sold for $20,600. A couple of years ago, Walt Siegl started building a limited run of custom motorcycles based on Ducati 900cc 2V engines – the idea was that by making a limited run, he could lower the cost a little bit, giving more people the chance to …
HyperRocket – 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 Custom
Built by Ford design engineer John Hickey, this reverse trike was winner of the 2010 Vetter Challenge, a competition to see if a vehicle can hit 100mpg at 70 miles per hour into a 30 mph headwind while carrying four bags of groceries.
“Land Rover” – 2008 Piaggio MP3
Like the Randy Grubb Decopod but you’re looking for something cheaper? Here’s an oddball custom built off a Piaggio MP3 – and that’s pretty much all I can say about it. Find this…thing for sale in Vancouver, British Columbia for $6,000 here on Craigslist.
Randy Grubb’s Decopod Prototype
Well, it looks like this Prototype was won at the Boone County Swap Meet Auction and the winner is trying to resell it on eBay. Here’s a recap for you: You may know Randy Grubb because he built Jay Leno’s Tank Car (in addition to the Blastone Indy Special, the Decoliner, and more). He made 12 of these Decopods – …
Custom Cafe Racer – 2001 Ducati Monster
Here’s an interesting custom that’s based on a 750 Monster (which unfortunately has a salvage title). The tank and rear shock are from a 999, and the front forks and rotors are from a S4R. The headlight is from a Harley V-Rod, and the whole thing comes together thanks to a beautiful “Allusion Blueberry” powdercoating job. This bike definitely won’t …
1970 Triumph Trophy Bobber
Post-Listing Update: This bobber was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown. Here’s a Triumph Trophy that’s been turned into a hardtail custom. It won’t be for everyone, but it’s had plenty of recent work and you can’t deny that the photos on a dry lake look great.
Custom Harley Rat Bike
Here’s a crazy custom of a rat bike built with a Redneck Engineering frame around a Buell XB9S engine. There’s a lot of bare metal and a custom seat, but the really interesting things are a fuel tank made out of two air compressor tanks and an oil tank made out of a fire extinguisher. What do you think?
1 of 5 – Target Design MV Agusta 750S
Target Design was formed back in 1979 after 3 ex-BMW stylists (including the legendary Hans Muth) decided to split off and try things on their own. They almost immediately made a name for themselves by winning a competition from German magazine Motorrad about what motorcycles would look like in the future. Their winning design (called the ED-1, ED stood for …
1979 Kawasaki “Z1100”
Curious to know what you guys and gals think about this custom Z1 restomod – it has less than 1,000 miles on an engine rebuild which includes a bump up to 1138cc, Ducati wheels/swingarm and that weird headlight found on Zeros and Brammos. Cool or poorly done? Find this Z1100 for sale in Riverview, Florida with bidding up to $5,101 …
1972 Triumph Bonneville Custom
Post Listing Update: This crazy Triumph did not get any action at the opening bid of $9,000. Built by the (apparently crazy) folks at 6th Street Cycles, this numbers-matching Bonnie has been turned into an interesting custom. Would you ride it? Would you OWN it?
1981 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD Bobber
Post Listing Update: This custom Kawi did not meet reserve despite 44 bids up to $7,100. For some reason the seller responded to this by relisting the bike with a BIN of $17,500 – as you’d expect, it did not sell. Based on a Kawasaki KZ440-A LTD, this bike was converted to a bobber that’s inspired by motocrosser Ryan Villopoto …

A brand new build by Rob Phillips of Husky Restorations, this is a lowered and stretched custom based on the XT500. It has plenty of new parts, highlights of which include the custom exhaust, Excel rims, shortened forks from a Yamaha YZ, and Hammer Head shocks. …
Eye Watering Price – 2011 FIST Enterprises Biometric Bike
Post-Listing Update: As you probably expected, this bike got no action at the BIN of $125k. Built in 2011 by Paul Jr. Designs, this custom cruiser was commissioned by FIST (Fingerprint Identification Systems Technology) for an episode of American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior as a showcase of their technology that replaces the ignition of a bike with a fingerprint scanner.
Jeff Wright Build – 1990 Harley FXR Custom

MotoBe XLX – 1983 Harley-Davidson Sportster Custom
Built by Walt Siegl, this 60ci Sportster has been converted into the MotoBe XLX, a bike with completely handcrafted bodywork and some upgrades like Progressive springs and Magura controls. This was a commissioned bike where Walt “tried to make a small cafe bike that was a visual marriage of the British and Italian styles.”
