The seller of this bike is the same person who restored it. He calls himself a longtime Honda enthusiast and fabricator, and he took a Texas barn find bike and brought it back to life with some cosmetic twists. What do you think?
As a ’74, this is the last year of Honda’s first ‘big bike’. When it was first introduced, the CB450 was famously known as the Black Bomber. The 444cc DOHC parallel twin was good for 44 horsepower and a top speed of about 110 miles per hour. This example has 4,693 miles and it’s had a hefty amount of work done. The seller stripped the bike down to the frame, took off unnecessary brackets, and then painted it black. The top end, front brakes, and carbs have been rebuilt, plus it’s got a new seat cover, tires, chain, sprockets, gas cap, for gaiters, and plenty more. The tank is from a CB400F and the taillight is either off a Buell or Ducati.
