Last month I let you know that Indian was hosting a contest for Scout Bobber builds, though there is a twist – they’re specifically looking for non-professional builders. In their words, they want “wrenchers who do it for the passion, not the pay.” The submission period has ended and 12 finalists have been selected. Your vote will help determine the three winners!
The three winners will be provided with a Scout Bobber (here’s my review on the model, if you’re interested) and $10,000 to make their plans come to life. The winner gets another 10 grand in cash and a feature in Hot Bike magazine.
In my preview, I said “anyone that turns it into a standard will have my vote”, and one of the entries actually takes it one step further with promises of turning the Scout into an adventure bike. I love this idea, but it earns my vote reluctantly and not passionately because the drawing is quite rough:
Still, I want to see the ADV build happen so I’m hoping it wins. I found a better illustration on Kyle’s Instagram page, but it still feels like there’s a lot of unanswered questions. I hope he gets a shot to turn paper into metal:
