Built by retired master tech Kevin Murphy, this bike is based on a CX650 Turbo frame that has been joined with the front frame section of a GL500. That’s combined with suspension from a CBR954RR and the gas tank and exhaust system from a European-market GL650. Lots of different Honda parts came together to make this pleasant custom which sort of reminds me of a Moto Guzzi V7 Classic.
Speaking of the V7 (and to show you a picture so you can decide if these bikes look similar or not), here’s a bonus bike for sale (here on ADVRider, $6,300 in Los Angeles):
Now back to this CX650, which I think is quite good looking. The seller has built CX and GL projects for years, and he considers this to be a culmination of his work. Now he’s selling it to start another project. For more information, check out this feature on Unique Bike, which includes a cool 360 degree view of the bike.
Find this CX650 custom for sale here on Craigslist in Ocala, Florida for $7,500.
