10-30 Update: This delightfully crazy Bosozoku-style bike is back for sale, but it’s ending soon. Hurry if you’re interested – find it it with bidding up to $255 and the reserve not yet met or a BIN of $3,000 Bidding got up to $755 but it did not meet reserve, it has since sold privately.

Remember the Deus Boundless Enthusiasm Bike Build Off I shared a couple of days ago? Out of the 36 bikes that entered the Venice show this Bosozoku style CM400T placed 4th and won People’s Choice, and now it can be yours.

I’ve covered a little bit of the Bosozoku world, and this bike is a rare chance for me to feature something inspired by the culture – I’ve only had a chance to feature one other similar bike.

In the words of the seller (and a quote I wholeheartedly agree with), “I had been threatening to build a bike in the bosozoku style for 2 years now, since I noticed how cafe racers had become a fashion and dress up style and had nothing to do with making a bike faster. So you could say this bike is a satirical blow for freedom and a rebellion against the hipster status quo.”

The seller took a bike that had not been run in 20 years and brought it back to life (with some of the greatest exhaust pipes ever seen on a bike). After the Deus show, it spent about a month at the Deus showroom in Venice. Find this Bosozoku Honda for sale here on Craigslist for $3,000 in Van Nuys, California.
