I’m featuring this scoot for two reasons. First, it’s hard not to appreciate the engineering required to build a vehicle that folds up into a bag. Second, the delightfully 90s website is worth checking out.
A product of Italy, the Di Blasi express is marketed towards travelers who need a deployable scoot when they arrive at their destination – private pilots, boat owners, and RV drivers. It has a capacity of 320 pounds and can apparently fit someone up to 6 and a half feet tall. It gets about 100 miles per gallon and can hit up to 30 miles per hour.
This Di Blasi Express has been with the seller (second owner) since 2007. It’s done only about 25 miles since that time and has been well-maintained. The seller says it retails for $2,995 but the website above shows that it actually retails at $1,995. Find this scoot for sale in Saint Maries, Washington for $1,695 here on Craigslist.
