Post Listing Update: This XR750 sold for $24,000, but the buyer presumably backed out as it was relisted and didn’t get interest at an opening ask of $22,500.
This is claimed to be one of ten tribute bikes to Evel Knievel that were painted by his original painter, George Sedlak. But “due to the high cost of XR750 engine parts, this engine has no internals” so it’s being sold for display only.
The sale includes the art, a matching helmet, and a Certificate of Authenticity. What do you say – does anyone ever make the motor run, or will this be a display piece forever?
