Post Sale Update: The BSA/Buell sold for $3,709 after 32 bids, while the Indian/Kawasaki sold for $9,100 after 37 bids.
The last time I featured one of these, it was quite popular (though probably not for the right reasons). Reader yrrah was trying to find more examples of the builder’s work – I don’t know if he was successful but I sure as hell wasn’t able to…until now. Two more of Doc’s builds are up for sale and there’s just as insane as the “BMW” from last week. Just like before, I have no idea how to describe these – so you’ll just have to enjoy the pictures.
We’ll start with the 1944 BSA, which is powered by a Buell motor. The seller was able to get the bike to run but he’s calling it a non-running project with just 139 miles on it since the build was completed. The front forks are from a BSA M20, the rear brake light has integrated turn signals, and…well, just look at it:
Here’s the quick video of it being fired up and running:
The other bike has a ’49 Indian Scout frame which is paired with a Kawasaki KLR650 motor. It’s also got a front fork from a Ural, suicide shifter, and somehow it has an airbag with the crash sensor from a Ford on the front forks. Just like the BSA, the seller got it to run for a video but he’s listing it as a non-running project:
You’re doing yourself a serious disservice if you don’t click through the listings to look at all the photos. Both bikes are in Tampa, Florida.
