Post Sale Update: This “Nuclear Red” Street Triple sold for $4,400 after 11 bids on eBay.
If you ask Triumph, they’ll say they’ve never released a pink motorcycle before. Here’s Exhibit A in the counter-argument, a Triumph Speed Triple in a rare color that the English firm calls “Nuclear Red”. Doesn’t matter what it’s called, this is definitely pink – and it’s an interesting color choice on what’s become one of the best ‘hooligan bikes’ of all time.
2001 was a big refresh for the Speed Triple, which included tweaks to the engine, a new exhaust, and a restyled seat. These revisions meant the engine was good for 108 horsepower and 72 pound feet of torque, both of which were fed through a six-speed transmission.
This specific Triumph Speed Triple (VIN: SMT500FM31J115589) has just under 19,000 miles and comes with several extras. Highlights include a special-order 520 chain in pink, K&N air filter, Mivi exhaust adapted from the 1050 model, Dan Moto mini brake cylinder, and more. The seller also includes all original parts with the sale.
