Post-Listing Update: Despite bidding up to $65,100, this Black Shadow did not meet reserve.
The seller of this Black Shadow has owned it since 1967, and he believes that it’s now “time to let someone else appreciate it.”
This bike (VIN: F10AB/2B/10856) has been modified over the years, which will hopefully keep the price down a bit (though that’s a relative concept when it comes to Black Shadows). The frame is a ’51 Series C but it has a ’55 Series D engine. In addition, it has a Ducati clutch and a Brembo hydraulic rear disc brake, also out of a Ducati. The generator is now a 150W Alton unit as the bike has been converted to 12V, plus you’ll get Boyer Bransden electronic ignition. You’ll also get a 5″ Smiths tach and Amal MkII carbs, along with some miscellaneous spares and paperwork.
The seller includes many photos but they’re relatively low resolution. Still, the paintwork seems to be in pretty good shape. Find this Vincent for sale in Hancock, Maine with bidding up to $50,200 and the reserve not yet met
