Post Listing Update: Despite 38 bids up to $5,150, this Checca did not meet reserve on eBay.

According to the seller, Checca translates to “Fairy” in English. It looks like the modern translation has taken more of a derogatory meaning, but hopefully you get the implication that this is a lightweight, nimble motorcycle. This gorgeous example has won multiple first place awards in varying shows, and in 2015 it earned an AMCA Senior award with a score of 97 points.

This bike was available in 83cc and 99cc. Here’s one of the latter – the 4-stroke single produced 5.15 horsepower. It’s gorgeous and the tank features badges honor MV’s multiple world championships. Awards bestowed upon this bike include Best Exotica at Larz Anderson Classic in Brookline, Massachusetts, Best MV Agusta at Italian Motorcycle Owner’s Club Rally in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and first in class at The Vintage Bazaar Motorcycle Show in Salisbury, Massachusetts.

The seller has owned the bike for years and kept it as part of his collection in a climate controlled facility. It’s said to start in 2 or 3 kicks when cold, and run “super.” For the age, this bike is in excellent cosmetic condition. It’s highly original, though the tubes and tires were installed in 2015 and the seller added some rim strips to protect the tubes. The service and owner’s manuals will be included as well.
