Post Listing Update: This Motobecane did not meet reserve despite 11 bids up to $1,957.
Rarely found in the US, the Motobecane LT series utilized a two-stroke twin paired with a five-speed transmission. It was introduced in 1972 to compete against bikes like the Yamaha DT125 and Honda CB125. For more information, check out this translated page from Motobecane Passion.
This example (VIN: 25107614) comes with its original French title but it is currently registered in California. With the exception of the battery, it’s claimed to be original (even the tires). The seller notes that it’s been very reliable as he has used it almost daily for 5 years, however the speedo/tach cables are broken so true mileage is unknown. The cosmetics are generally good, though there is a dent in the right side cover and a paint chip in the tank. The sale will include a spare motor and spare carbs.
