Post Listing Update: This custom Guzzi did not meet reserve despite 11 bids up to $6,500.
Created by Joe Walano (aka The Guzzi Doctor), this 850T was “built from the crankshaft out.” Thanks to extensive engine work, the motor now displaces 977 cc and it produces 95 horsepower at the crank. that with a fuel tank from Scottish firm Tank Works and metal bodywork by Craig Rodsmith and you’ve got yourself a very interesting Guzzi.
Per the seller, the engine of this bike (VIN: 90525) has Venolia forged pistons, tumble-ported heads, a P3 cam, and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Fueling is handled by 36mm Dell’orto carbs and burnt fuel escapes through a Bub Hyper exhaust. Over 100 hours of work were put into this build and per Joe’s projects page the 95 horsepower at the crank translate into over 80 at the rear wheel. Rebuilt Marzocchi shocks were powdercoated to match the similarly treated frame, swingarm, triple clamps, wheels, and hubs. The dashboard is a custom unit with a GPS speedometer.
