Post Listing Update: 25 bids up to $11,601 were not enough to meet reserve for this ‘XRCR’.
Back in 1980, Yankee Engineuity apparently created a run of 10 Harley-Davidson XLCRs with XR750 frames and a host of other modifications. Here’s one of the 10, which has been at Garage Company since at least 2004, according to this article from Street Chopper.
In addition to the factory XR750 frame, this bike also features the bottom end from a ’80 XLS Roadster with a big bore piston and flat slide Mikuni carb. Outside of the engine, you’ve got Performance Machine calipers up front and aluminum wheels, the front fork from a ’80 Ducati 900SS, Tomaselli clipons, Smiths gauges, Works Performance shock, and of course the body work from a ’77 XLCR. The seller claims this puts out over 100 horsepower.
