Post Sale Update: After being relisted, this Mille GT sold for $3,700.
Moto Guzzi’s Mille GT was a short-lived hybrid that fused the 948cc motor from a California with the bodywork, frame, gearbox, and many other parts of the unloved T5. On paper, it was an improvement from the T5 thanks to a bigger motor, the removal of the horrible front fairing, and the switch from 16″ to 18″ wheels. Despite that, the Mille GT barely sold and finding one now can be an ordeal..
The 948cc engine pushes out 65 horsepower and 54 pound-feet of torque, but the whole package was a little bit of an oddball that didn’t appeal to any specific archetype of motorcycle rider except for the unbelievably passionate fans of the brand who have somehow kept it in business. For more on the Mille, check out this 1988 review in Motorcycle Magazine hosted on Motorcycle Specs.
This bike (VIN: ZGUVHBVT8KM100272) has 13,700 miles and the seller says it’s in great shape. He’s got a detailed list of “every small nut, screw and hose ever replaced.” He says it runs and looks like a new bike with the exception of a small mark on the tank that was “expertly touched up.”
