In the early 90s, Yamaha’s primary sponsor for their AMA Supersport bike was Vance & Hines. In ’92, the Japanese manufacturer celebrated this relationship with a limited production run of FZR600s adorned with the V&H purple/yellow paint. Depending on who you ask, Yamaha made between 500-650 of these, though I can’t find an official production number anywhere.
Most examples I’ve seen feature a Vance & Hines slipon exhaust, but V&H also offered extra go-fast parts for the FZR at the time. This bike (VIN: JYA3HHE07NA040781) is on offer from a seller that’s letting go of half his classic Japanese bike collection. The seller says it’s been well cared for and the paint is of excellent quality despite a few minor cosmetic flaws. It’s #316 of the limited production run.
