I’m a sucker for dirtbikes that have been converted to supermotos for street usage, and this outrageous XR650R (which happens to be street-legal and plated in California) is checking off all of my boxes.
The original XR650R is affectionately known as the Big Red Pig, and it was a desert champion thanks to the monster power and suspension. Those two things also make it a very interesting platform to build a supermoto with, and the builder of this bike has made the most of the opportunity with an extensive list of upgrades: Ohlins suspension front and rear, carbon fiber bodywork, Leo Vince dual exhaust, BST carbon fiber wheels, BL Italia aluminum fuel tank, Acewell speedometer, Renthal carbon fiber handlebar, and Beringer brakes. It’s wild, it’s fast, and it’s street-legal – I love this thing.
