I really enjoyed my time with BMW’s entry level street bike, the G310R – click here for my review. At the launch, BMW told me that they were also going to create a baby GS with the 310 motor, and it’s finally here. There are very few bikes in the US yet (the US media launch won’t even happen for another couple of weeks) and demand is high, so many interested buyers are snapping these up without taking a test ride. Unfortunately for the seller of this example, he’s found out that the riding position isn’t compatible with his bad knee, so now he’s offering his GS (in the best paint scheme) for $1,350 less than he paid. That’s an expensive test ride.
His out-the-door price was $7,250, and he’s put just 180 break-in miles on it. In the seller’s words, you can’t tell it from new. Motorcyclist magazine was one of three US publications invited to the world launch of this bike, so click here if you want more details on what it’s like to ride the newest (and littlest) GS.
If you’re convinced that this will be your next bike, find this discounted baby GS for sale in Livermore, California for $5,900 here on ADVRider (registration required).
