Post Listing Update: New listing, but same result. This bike did not get any interest at the BIN of $15,000.

4-20-2019 Update: Two years later, the same seller has put this bike back up with a $6k discount. You can now find it for sale still in Palm Coast, Florida with a BIN of $15,000

According to the seller, 2012 was the last year that BMW factory-sponsored a race team in the US. Here’s the A-bike from that campaign, the Pegram/Foremost Racing S1KRR. After the season, the bike was re-wrapped in the original graphics package, and in 2015 the motor was rebuilt by Pegram Racing. The amount of money that’s been thrown into this bike is incredible, but even then the factory Yamahas of the day had even more financial support so this was never going to be a series winner.

The seller claims over $100k was invested in this bike, and that includes an AMA spec motor that produces 216 horsepower – this was apparently the most powerful on the grid at the NJ Motorsports park round of the AMA, as all competing bikes were tested on the same dyno. Race weight is 360 pounds. Other highlights of the work include Ohlins suspension, BMW WSBK spec cams, STM clutch, Akrapvoic full titanium exhaust, BMW HP rearsets and quick shifter, and BMW’s HP race kit ECU with some electronic goodies that weren’t available in 2012 to the public – launch control, aggressive traction control mapping, pit speed limiter, even adjustable engine braking.

Chances are that this bike is much faster than you are, but that shouldn’t stop you from having a hell of a good time on it. Find this race S1KR for sale in Staten Island, New York with a BIN of $21,990 or a best offer

Note that this bike was put on eBay back in November of 2015 and bidding stalled at $16,100.
