Post Sale Update: This Sei did not get any interest at the BIN of $24,000. That was to be expected, I just thought the low mileage was interesting.

The first production motorcycle to utilize six cylinders, the Benelli 750 Sei was the result of Alejandro De Tomaso (of sports car company fame), who had just purchased Benelli and wanted them to build a flagship. While this example is not cosmetically perfect, it stands out as it has just nine miles on the odometer.

The inline six engine produced 71 horsepower, which was good enough to get the 485 pound bike up to 126 miles per hour. Want to learn more? Check out this article from Motorcycle Classics.

For some reason, the seller of this bike (VIN: 6970) calls this a “zero mile” motorcycle multiple times, though there’s clearly a nine on the odometer. According to the seller, the bike was originally acquired by a collector in Florida with over 300 bikes. After the collector passed away at the age of 82, the seller acquired a few pieces from the collection including two “zero mile” Benelli Seis. Because the original owner was “extremely eccentric” and “not particular about the absolute care and method of storage for his motorcycles” there are several minor cosmetic issues with the bike.
