If you’re looking at the number of championships and individual race wins, Carl “Foggy” Fogarty is the most successful racer to ever rule in World Superbike. In 2002, Italy’s most famous motorcycling firm released the Ducati Monster S4 Fogarty Edition, to honor Foggy himself. Today we’ve got a reasonably priced example of this 1 of 300 limited edition Monster.
Ducati started with the top of the line Monster S4, which already had a 916cc L-twin with 101 horsepower, then set out to make just 300 examples of the best Monster ever produced. A few technical upgrades complemented the exclusive cosmetic upgrades. We’ve featured a Foggy before, and though it had just 350 miles, it was nearly twice the price of this well-loved example.
This specific Fogarty Edition is number 220 out of 300, and one of the 75 that were brought to the US. It has 6,089 miles, and just had a 6k service done by Desmoto Sport. It’s in excellent shape with some carbon fiber extras (and the original parts), documentation, and front/rear stands.
