I can’t seem to pass up featuring an XLCR in good shape. It was so different from everything else Harley was doing at the time, and it was also one of the many bikes in history that was initially hailed as an instant collector bike…that no one bought. Designed by Willie G. Davidson, this bike was supposed to be a black beauty featuring HD’s most powerful production engine yet. The lovely siamese exhaust and bikini fairing were very unique – this was quite the (nearly) chrome-less departure for Harley.
This Harley-Davidson XLCR is SN# 498 and it’s enjoyed a frame-up restoration with the original wheels and tires. Many parts have been replaced with NOS Harley units, and the bike has new paint. Find it for sale in Westchester, Pennsylvania with bidding up to $7,700 and the reserve not yet met
