Starting with a ‘barn fresh’ BMW R100RT in bad shape, the seller spent years creating something…unexpected.
The bike has been in the current state for the last 2 and a half years. The seller completely disassembled the bike and then rebuilt the entire electrical system with an Alpha V2 ignition system, Dyna coil, EuroMotoElectrik charging system, and a new battery. The carbs and fuel system have been rebuilt, the seat is now a Russell Daylong unit, and it comes with the original luggage. The good stuff includes the front suspension from a KTM 525 and the rear shock is a modified nitrogen piggyback reservoir unit from a 2007 Kawasaki KX with a heavier spring. Pro taper bars with 2″ Rox risers round out the package.
The bike has 42,627 miles, 13k of which have been put on by the seller himself. Find this oddball for sale here on ADVRider (registration required) for $3,800 just east of Nashville, Tennessee.
