Ginger McCabe of New Church Moto is a popular name to call when someone needs a new seat made for a motorcycle. Her work has become parts of hundreds of custom builds all over the country, so it stands to reason that she’d have plenty of inspiration for her own two-wheeled creation. Here’s what she created with a Yamaha XS400. She had the bad luck of getting hit on the bike twice, and what you see in front of you is the result of a rebuild by G & H Cycles.
Highlights of the work includes Progressive Suspension shocks, custom Jones Racing titanium exhaust, Tommaselli handlebars, a custom subframe, and of course a New Church Moto seat. This Yamaha isn’t just for show – Ginger had used it in a couple of flat track events before selling it. For more on this custom, check out this feature on BikeEXIF from back when Ginger built it. The seller’s had it for 2 years, but now he’s move on to dual-sports and he doesn’t ride this enough. I love the tank, but I’d want to lower the headlight a couple of inches.
