Here’s a well-modified example of the Yamaha XS650 that’s available for less than usual asking prices you see on featured customs nowadays.
This XS650 Special II had been sitting for about two decades until it was found by Lars Meyer and converted into a ‘gravel tracker.’ This bike has a custom seat, exhaust, handlebars, 2.5 gallon fuel tank, and headlight, plus a smaller headlight and Metzeler Karoo tires. The seller says this bike has 150 miles on it since the work was done and it puts down 53 horsepower @ 7,800 rpm, measured at the rear wheel. If you’re looking for a little bit more information and a whole bunch more photos on this build, it was featured on Silodrome.
Find this ‘gravel tracker’ for sale in Pleasant Hill, California for $5,800 or best offer here on the Bay Area Riders Forum.
