Here’s something we can all agree on: a Sea-Doo that’s been jerry-rigged into a scooter is both wonderfully terrible and terribly wonderful. Even the police officer who pulls you over for not having a license plate will be heartened at the sight of this thing.
Basically, it’s a 1990s Sea-Doo husk slapped on top of an unnamed 150cc four-stroke scooter. The seller says it is capable of cruising at “about 50-60mph,” which is probably as fast as you want to go on an object that is so very definitely not safe.
Although it lacks a license plate, this… scooter vessel does have the accouterments of a road-going two-wheeler, such as a headlight bar, brake lights, and indicators. Sadly, on the road is the only place it can go; it is not buoyant. The seller is very explicit in this:
“IT DOES NOT DRIVE IN THE WATER,” the ad states. “IT WILL SINK IF YOU DRIVE IT IN THE WATER!!!!!!!!!”
Shame.
With 12,000 (land) miles on the clock, this scooter Sea-Doo thing is for sale for $3,000 in Land of Lakes, Florida (of course it’s in Florida!) here on Facebook Marketplace.
