Normally I feature bikes for sale, but today I get to feature something you can ride your bike in – if you have the guts. Also known as a silodrome, the ‘wall of death’ was a famous carnival sideshow where riders would circle the interior of a cylinder, pressed against the edge thanks to friction and gravity.
The seller says this was professionally built based on Brill’s Carnival plans just for fun – it’s 12 feet high and 24 feet in diameter, with very little usage. After 4 years of storage, it was assembled and painted last summer, then used a few times. Unfortunately all the signage and stairs have been sold, and you’re going to have to dismantle and load your own trailer. Still, how often do I get to feature one of these for sale?
