Two weeks ago I got a new subscriber named Hugh, who wanted me to keep my eyes open for a V50 Monza. Well, here you go, Hugh!
Built as Guzzi’s attempt at a mass-market bike, the V50 was released in 1980 and also immediately got a sport version named the Monza. The Monza got bigger carbs and a few engine mods that yielded an extra 3 horsepower (up to 48), plus the stylish fairing. And while the European press loved this bike, it didn’t do so hot in the US. For more information on what made the V50 Monza so special and why it flew under the radar, check out this article from Motorcycle Classics.
This specific Moto Guzzi V50 Monza has over 15,000 miles and is available for sale here at Michael’s Motorcycles in St. Louis, Missouri for $3,800.
