Stored for the last 48 years, this NSU Konsol will need to be recommissioned before it hits the road again. Considering how rare these are in the US, the work would be worth the effort.
NSU built two different versions of the Konsul, a 351 and 501. Both models were built between ’51-’54, and 6,000 examples of the 501 were produced. The 501 was actually a 494cc single that produced 21 horsepower. The seller believes that this example (VIN: 501OST971149) will need new fluids and battery, as well as a carb cleaning. He/she also claims that it shifts through all the gears and that it has good compression.
