Blackfoot Motorsports in Calgary, Alberta is selling off their collection of motorcycles (including the DR800 we recently shared), and one of the more interesting finds is a Yamaha MT-01 – the original “Master of Torque.” The MT-01 was never officially sold in the US. But other lucky markets were able to buy it between 2005 and 2012, and it was a fascinating combination of a cruiser V-Twin motor in a large naked sportbike package.
Basic specifications were 89 horsepower, 111 lb-ft of torque, and 584 pounds of weight. For more on what made the MT-01 interesting, check out this review on Bike Social.
This example (VIN: JYARP20N69A000128) has 21,329 miles and it’s said to be in good running condition. It should be noted that the dealership has a few other bikes you might find interesting:
2016 Norton 961 Sport
2006 Aprilia RS125
1993 BMW R100R
1976 BMW R90S
1975 BMW R90S
1965 Vespa 150
