If the hub-center craziness of the Bimota Tesi 3D isn’t powerful and exotic enough for you, then you need to give Vyrus a call. Circa 2008, Bimota’s hub-center steering flagship was making 95 horsepower thanks to a Ducati 1100 Evo motor. Meanwhile, Vyrus was stuffing a Ducati 999R motor – and that was good for 150 hp. That, among other reasons, is why the Vyrus’ MSRP was roughly twice as much as the Bimota’s.
I recently created a video discussing the similarities and differences between the Bimota and the Vyrus:
As I mention in the video, the Vyrus starts at almost $70k USD but it can quickly increase based on the options. The seller of this bike says it is “believed to be the highest spec and most expensive 985 Vyrus ever built at a cost of over €80,000 when it was new. The spec includes Ducati 999R engine, Zard stainless steel exhaust system with ceramic end cans, full carbon bodywork, discs and BST carbon wheels, quickshifter, launch control, TTX Ohlins suspension with telemetric data recording.”
Find this Vyrus for sale in Stowmarket, England for $60,289 here at Made in Italy Motorcycles.
