2-19-16 Update: This GIMA is back up for sale with an unmet opening bid of $5,000
A French manufacturer, Groupement Industriel Métallurgique Automobile (GIMA) produced small displacement motrcycles between 1947 and 1956, though in 2005, a businessman named Hilario Gonzalez revealed a prototype of a rebirth of the brand.
This a Type 74, which is powered by a 125cc AMC four stroke engine that’s paired to a four speed transmission. It’s claimed to have been restored and function well, and it’s been registered with the Federazione Motociclistica Italiana and approved by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano in 1997. The seller also has a spare AMC motor and a three-speed transmission.
