10-16-17 Update: A month later, this Norvin is back up for sale. I try to let more time pass when a bike doesn’t sell but it’s just so fantastic that I have to share it in case someone missed it the first time. With that said – take special note of the seller’s feedback rating! Find it with bidding up to $42,100 and the reserve not yet met
Post Listing Update: Despite 12 bids up to $33,433, this Norvin did not meet reserve.
Norvin = Norton and Vincent. The compound nature of the word is usually reserved for Triumph/Norton hybrids that you know as Tritons, but in this case it’s a little more special. This bike features a Norton Wideline Featherbed frame and combines it with a Vincent Rapide Series D motor from 1955.
If that wasn’t cool enough, the motor has been rebuilt and rebored out to 1,140cc. The pistons were custom built by Wahl and the motor is paired with a TT Industries heavy duty 5-speed gearbox and Bob Newby clutch and primary belt drive.
The gas and oil tanks are handmade alloy units, and the consumed fluids escape through custom Alden Exhausts. It also features electronic ignition, a 5″ Vincent tachometer, Norton Manx forks, and Amal Mk1 33mm carbs.
