In Italy – 1983 Bimota KB2

In Italy, Sport by Abhi3 Comments

Post-Listing Update: This KB2 did not meet reserve at $10,100.

The KB2 is one of the rarer Bimotas ever made – just 177 were built. Remember how the Bimota naming structure works? KB stands for Kawasaki and Bimota, respectively, and the 2 meant it was the 2nd use of a Kawi engine by the Italian company. Specifically, the Italian chassis surrounded the engine from a Kawi GPZ550 – which made it one of the smallest-displacement bikes Bimota sold, as well.

This example is claimed to be very original. The last owner had it for 21 years, and it has about 8,500 miles on the odometer. There’s a couple of minor cosmetic issues – and the seat pad has dried out, but this bike looks good.
