Every once in a while I daydream of international motorcycle exploration and find myself on the classifieds at Horizons Unlimited, seeing if someone’s taken a long trip and is willing to sell a bike for cheap that could easily come back to the US. Looks like a couple took two Yamaha TW200s (with South Dakota titles) to the bottom of Mexico and are selling them for quite a discount – this would make for one heck of a fly and ride!
MSRP on the TW is $4,599 plus destination and the usual dealers fees, but these sellers have a 2020 with 2,400 miles and a 2019 with 5,200 miles and they’ll sell both for just $3,000. Both bikes are upgraded with 4 gallon fuel tank, LED headlight + auxiliary lights, Pelican top boxes, 3 tool tubes, hand guards, bar risers, upgraded tool kits, skid plates, upgraded mirrors, and sheepskin covers on the seats. As long as you don’t need to go anywhere fast, these bikes will get you just about anywhere. So go ahead – fly to the bottom of Mexico and take your sweet time riding back into the US!
