In 1995, Sport Rider said “If you see one for sale, buy it. Now go try to find one, but I betcha can’t.” Despite only 1,153 total units produced, I have found one just for you all.
A 16 inch front wheel enabled quick steering despite relaxed suspension geometry, and saw use of Suzuki’s first rear remote hydraulic preload adjuster. This incredible example of a first year 1983 Suzuki XN85 Turbo is located in Sweden. It is has been preserved in near showroom condition, with paint that still looks full of lead and only 2,297 total miles. Pictures detail some scratches, but they also show it protected by a velvet rope. The seller notes that this XN85 has been parked since 1987, perhaps realizing even then how special the bike was. Servicing is immediately recommended to anyone wishing to hear the turbo spool, but the cosmetics are near perfect. Sport Rider suggested a minimum bid of $3,000 in 1995.
