Oops – looks like I never summed up January’s highlights. Let’s fix that now!
Last month we saw some great bikes – but did they sell? And if so, for how much? This list will only include listings from eBay (or other auction sites). I unfortunately have no way of finding out final sale prices of bikes offered on Craigslist/Cycle Trader/Kijiji/etc. With that said, here are some highlights from last month:
1 Mile – 1992 Kawasaki ZX-7R – sold for $29,960 including buyer’s fee on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in Reading, Pennsylvania.
1979 Yamaha XS650 Special – sold for $4,050 after 35 bids on eBay in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, however the deal fell through. Interestingly enough, it was relisted for a BIN of $8,000 on eBay and it seems to have sold again.
#46/1000 – 2016 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer II – sold for $7,500 after 29 bids on eBay in Long Beach, California.
1989 Yamaha YSR50 – sold for $3,816 after 22 bids on eBay in Vernon-Rockville, Connecticut.
Daijiro Kato Tribute – 1993 Honda NSR250R MC21 – sold for $8,560 including buyer’s fee on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in Santa Monica, California.
Rebuilt Engine – 1961 BMW R27 – after not meeting reserve twice and getting bid up between $7-$8k, the seller listed this as a BIN for $10,500 – and it sold.
Well-Modded – 2020 Husqvarna SM701 – sold for $11,770 including buyer’s fee on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in Santa Monica, California.
YamaGamma – 1986 Suzuki RG250 with Yamaha RZ350 Motor – sold for $6,073 after 39 bids on eBay in Trenton, Canada.
Restored With No Reserve – 1948 Cushman Road King – sold for $4,950 after 34 bids on eBay in Mentor, Ohio.
836cc Kit – 1972 Honda CB750 – sold for $8,500 after 16 bids on eBay in Santa Clarita, California.
313 Miles – 1991 Yamaha TW200 – sold for $3,403.53 after 16 bids on eBay in Ocala, Florida.
1974 Kawasaki H2 750 – sold for $15,988 after 45 bids on eBay in Ballston Spa, New York.
Yamaha’s First Moped – 1962 Yamaha MF1 – sold for the opening bid of $995 on eBay in DeLand, Florida.
1987 Honda CR500 – sold for $10,000 after 16 bids on eBay in Dacula, Georgia.
No Reserve – 2007 Honda XR650R – sold for $5,550 after 52 bids on eBay in Layton, Utah.
1965 Harley-Davidson Scat – sold for $5,100 after 14 bids on eBay in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
1939 Terrot BMA 100 – sold for $3,500 after 44 bids on eBay in Clinton, Ohio.
1-Owner, No Reserve – 1972 Honda CL175 – sold for $3,250 after 94 bids on eBay in Mentor, Ohio.
1981 Honda CT70 – sold for $3,200 after 53 bids on eBay in South Jordan, Utah.
Back in Black – 1980 Kawasaki Z1R – sold for $18,050 after 30 bids on eBay in Buford, Georgia.
1982 Honda CX500 Turbo – sold for $10,141 after 22 bids on eBay in Beaverton, Oregon…however the sale appears to have fallen through as the bike was later relisted and then did not meet reserve with 24 bids up to $8,600.
1967 Velocette Venom Clubman – sold for $15,655 after 15 bids on eBay in Trenton, New Jersey.
1937 Brough Superior SS80 – sold for $91,433 after 60 bids on eBay in San Diego, California.
1981 Harley-Davidson FXB Sturgis – sold for $11,700 after 44 bids on eBay in Monticello, Wisconsin.
137 Miles – 2008 Bimota Tesi 3D Limited Edition Concept – sold for $31,619 on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in Santa Monica, California.
86 Miles – 1985 Yamaha TY350 – sold for $3,149 after 32 bids on eBay in Lowell, Massachusetts.
5 Miles – 1989 Suzuki GSX-R750RK – sold for $43,977 including buyer’s fee after 141 bids on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.
1984 Honda Ascot VT500 – sold for $3,438 after 32 bids on eBay in Aurora, Colorado.
0 Miles – 1994 Honda RC45 – sold for $100,794 including buyer’s fee after 83 bids on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.

Restored – 1980 Honda CR125R – did not meet reserve despite 21 bids up to $3,100 on eBay in Binghamton, New York.
114 of 170 – 2002 Moto Guzzi V11 LeMans Tenni – did not meet reserve with 4 bids up to $5,260 on eBay in Williamsburg, Virginia.
2006 BMW HP2 Enduro – did not meet reserve with 45 bids up to $12,300 on eBay in Vienna, Virginia.
AHRMA Scrambler -1958 BSA Golden Flash A10 – did not meet reserve with 8 bids up to $3,850 on eBay in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Race History – 2001 Harley-Davidson XR750 – did not meet reserve with 38 bids up to $20,000 on eBay in Miami, Florida.
