One of the most striking custom motorcycles at this year’s Handbuilt Show, Quail Motorcycle Gathering, and OG Moto Show was Kott Motorcycles‘ Exodus – a 1980 BMW boxer twin that’s dripping with aluminum.
Per the builder, “I took an interest in this 1978 BMW boxer twin after I had made one half of an aluminum fuel tank…I decided to nickname the machine “Exodus” in that it’s a representation of considerable departure from what I’d been accustomed to building through the last decade or more.”
Highlights of the work include a Honda CB750 front end, aluminum subframe, twin Mikuni carbs, and “improved ignition and electrical systems.” The big visual standout is the custom aluminum bodywork, which includes the headlight fairing, fuel tank, and fairings.
Tickets are being sold until December 15th, and the winner will be announced live on Kott’s Instagram page on December 21st at 7pm PST. Click here to buy your ticket(s)!
