Post Listing Update: This RS did not meet reserve despite 34 bids up to $5,600.
Here’s a BMW R100RS that’s been equipped with a rare Krauser fairing. It looks to be in great shape and everything is claimed to run well – here’s your chance for a classic German tourer with an extra dose of style.
This bike (VIN: WB1046603J6247474) was given a NOS Krauser fairing, notable as it weighs 16 pounds versus the factory 33 pound fairing. The seller says that only 30 of these fairings made it to the US, a number I’d love to get independent verification on. In addition to the rare fairing, this RS has a Reynolds rack, Hepco & Becker bags, Farley sidestand, European light switch with relocated ignition, EPCO header, Supertrapp exhaust, and a stock seat redone by Sargent. The bike has 44,456 miles and is claimed to be in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. I just wish the Krauser fairing was pinstriped in blue like the rest of the bike!
