Classic Motorworks is moving to Fort Worth, Texas, and it looks like the owner is using the move as an opportunity to sell some stuff. One of the things he’s getting rid of is the last 500cc iron barrel Bullet ever built. According to the seller, Classic Motorworks was the exclusive importer and distributor for Royal Enfield in the USA from 1999 to 2015. I feel like Enfields were imported into California through other dealers before 2015, but that doesn’t really matter – the point is the seller had a good relationship with RE and he used that to secure the last 500cc iron barreled bike off the production line. It’s still in the crate, and now it’s for sale.
The seller has kept this bike in the original packing crate since 2008, and he says that when he checked it a week ago “it was in perfect condition.” The ‘iron barrel’ designation comes from the cylinder barrel, which is made out cast iron with a steel liner. If you want to run this bike, you’ll need to install the front fender and front wheel, perform the dealer prep, and then break in the motor. Somehow, I suspect that the new owner of this bike VIN: ME3FSU2258C521489) is just going to keep it as is in some sort of display.
