In a move that I’m sure will have no dissenters, Devitt Insurance compiled a list of the 80 best motorcycles in history to celebrate their 80th anniversary of providing motorcycle insurance. There might be a slight nationalistic bias here – The first 7 (and 9 out of the top 10) are British bikes! What do you think of the list?
The list was somehow put together with members from Keep Britain Biking, but the actual algorithm is unclear. Click here to view all the choices.
There’s plenty of good choices here, but humor me for a moment – what do you think is the most out-of-place bike on that list? My vote goes to the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer at #14.EDIT: I lied. Something called the Keeway Cruiser 250 is somehow #40 (and the explainer paragraph was copied into the listing for #39 as well), above bikes like the Ducati 916, BMW R1200GS, Ducati 350 Desmo, Honda RC51, the Norton Commando…you get the idea. I’m now quitting from anger. Frankly, I was just going to delete this post and hide it from the world, but now I’m hoping Devitt customers see this so they can switch to another insurance provider.
Again, ignoring the Keeway, what do you think is the worst choice on that list?
